COMPANY PROFILE

Better Based Nutrition was formed with the intention to not only improve fertility issues in cattle operations but to also increase overall animal health and wellbeing.

Originally one of HTL’s loyal clients approached Alison Hall-Perrin’s to supplement Brahman heifers with her Omega Supplement (Formula Bronze), with the aim to increase pregnancy rates on their Central Queensland property. After witnessing the significant effects of feeding Formula Bronze to broodmares they believed that this may also be influential on cattle, as it proved to be.

Some time later Ali and Sam met at a field day in Central Queensland and began discussing her findings which lead to further research. At this time Sam had been disappointed with varied AI results throughout QLD, NSW and Vic and believed there must be a way of increasing fertility through better nutrition. After further research and meeting with Gary we have now developed a product, high in Omega’s and other essential vitamins and minerals which is not degraded in the rumen, to be utilised more efficiently by ruminants.

Ultimately, we are industry professionals with a passion for animal health, performance and efficiency, aiming to provide the cattle industry with a product that will make their farming businesses more economically viable in this tough environment. We understand that calving percentage is a major profit driver in any cattle business and it is our target to help you maximise this return.
